It defines how to use services to achieve business goals, and allows interoperability with multiple customers within different business domains. The growing use of SOA has increased research interest on how to improve the reuse of services. Hence, managing services variability was introduced by many approaches as a new leading edge concept for improving reuse. Indeed, variability refers to the characteristic of a system to adapt, specialize and configure itself with the context of use. Several proposals have been made in this respect. However, none of these seem to deal with the evolution of these configurable services. In service oriented systems, the evolution of services is usually introduced by the evolution of the associated business process. Therefore, if a configurable process model (CPM for short) should evolve in reaction to changing business needs, the associated configurable services (CS for short) are also impacted by this change. In our previous work, we proposed a complete methodology for managing evolution in configurable process models. In this paper, we extend our proposed approach to develop an evolution process for managing the changes of configurable services (variable services) caused by changing the associated configurable process model.}, isbn = {978-1-4799-4647-1}, author = {Sbai, Hanae and Fredj, Mounia and Chakir, Boutaina and Kjiri, Laila} } @article {10115338720131101, title = {SV3R: un framework pour la gestion de la variabilit{\'e} des services.}, journal = {E-Ti: E-Review in Technologies Information}, number = {7}, year = {2013}, pages = {20 - 31}, abstract = {The emergence and expansion of the development paradigm based on service oriented approaches have been behind the elaboration of new models and methods that aim at facilitating the reuse of services within multiples context of use. This requires providing systematically services with several possible realizations. Among the promising approaches that achieve this objective is the management of variability which has been widely adopted by the software engineering disciplines and whose objective is to facilitate the adaptation or the configuration of software artifacts in a systematic way. Hence, in this work we provide a framework for the development (for and by reuse) of services supporting variability, called {\guillemotleft}SV3R{\guillemotright} (Service Variability Representation and Resolution for Reuse). This paper introduces at first the concept of variability. Afterwards, it presents some related work, before giving an overview of the framework SV3R and describing its components. Moreover, with the evolution of SOA, the focus in software development has shifted from applications to reusable services. Besides, reuse in SOA has more focused on service composition rather than reuse of existing implementations to build new services with additional functionalities. The preferred way to realize SOA remains web services which explain our interest in promoting reuse of Web services by managing variability. In this paper, we propose a model driven method for managing Web service{\textquoteright}s variability based on MDA (Model Driven Architecture). In fact, through MDA, the method enables the automation of Web service{\textquoteright}s realization regardless of the supported platforms. Moreover, we present a WSDL extension meta-model called VarWSDL which enhances Web services by variability notions. That permits Web services reuse.}, isbn = {978-1-4673-1520-3}, author = {Chakir, Boutaina and Fredj, Mounia and Nassar, Mahmoud}, editor = {Essaaidi, M and Zaz, Y} }
