We show that the problem of the error probability estimation is equivalent to estimating the conditional probability density function (pdfs) of soft receiver outputs. The proposed method uses Fast Fourier transform inversion for predicting the pdf. Furthermore, we applied Bootstrap criterion for selecting the optimum smoothing parameter which makes this method more accurate.
