To form clusters and select cluster headers, each solution has a different criterion. In our case, it is based on the density of HELLO messages. In other words, we propose a clustering mechanism represented by a density parameter HELLO message for each cluster. This new metric we will consider in the selection process of multipoint relays to improve quality of service in mobile ad hoc networks, it gives a new version of the protocol OLSR named clustering OLSR. The NS2 simulation shows that this new version of OLSR protocol is better than the standard version.
