Abstract

Cloud computing allows to move computing and storage components from individual systems into the cloud, which provides software and hardware services over the Internet. A collaborative application is among software services that can be provided by the cloud computing to enable collaboration among users from the same or different tenants. In this context, security of the shared resources in a collaborative session becomes an important issue that must be addressed. This paper proposes an approach that ensures access control to the shared resources in a collaborative session in single tenant environments. The suggested approach introduces new entities and relationships to support collaborative sessions in single-tenant environments. Finally, we validate this approach by an implementation in the SwiftStack environment. © 2015 IEEE.
