Abstract	In this article, a novel coupled transmission lines method has been developed for the systematic and easy computer-aided design (CAD) of image guides. The method is based on a two-dimensional transverse resonance technique, which includes new mode designations involving LSE and LSM modes. The numerical performances are very attractive; that is, considerably less computer time and fewer memory requirements, and very good agreement with the referenced results.
