Abstract

This paper presents a case study of a cancer center. A discrete event simulation model with ARENA software was developed to model and analyze the patient flow and evaluate performance through the outpatient chemotherapy unit. Simulation results determine where over-utilization of resources and long waiting times of patient per process. © 2017 IEEE.
